Whenever you try to do something good you will be opposed, often times in strange or bizarre ways. Take the other day, for example. We just thought we hadn't heard anything for a while. Turns out, emails were being delivered to her spam folder, even though she had been receiving emails from them fine earlier in the process. So we've got that squared away now, we think.
Apparently, the application lists the process steps slightly out of order. Personal interviews come before psych/personality testing, not after. That's fine, but we're still waiting on references to be returned from four of you. We will be contacting you shortly. [OMINOUS PAUSE]
At this point, it's looking like we won't receive an acceptance/denial decision until shortly before we're supposed to board a plane for training, which means we'll have to buy tickets on faith alone. It's time to go back to the Lord and make sure he wants us to do more than just apply. We don't want to waste His money on tickets we'll never use. Pray for us, and keep your guard up.
