We had our second language lesson this evening. Yea, and I have plumbed the depths of this language, and I have unearthed its secrets, and I have found it to be good and pleasing. All in the span of two lessons.
We've begun making the "goodbye" rounds. This weekend we traveled out of town, three hours over and three hours back, to attend a party and say farewell to friends we might not see again for a couple years. It was a good trip, but it wore us out.
This Friday we have our personal interviews. After that, we still won't know anything, but we've decided to make a prayerful decision to move forward assuming one way or the other depending on which way God leads us.
We're coming down to the wire in terms of prep time. We still don't know what to do with our house. I doubt we have time to make all the improvements that are needed to make it marketable. An alternative is to put it up for rent. We could probably almost cover the mortgage+site manager fee that way. Another possibility we've discussed between ourselves is putting it in the care of a charitable organization to use as a home for folks in need. I need to get in contact with the church about this and other things. Fortunately, there will be a forum for doing just that this Sunday. Coincidence? I think not!
